Cold Medications Can Be Addictive To Some

If you have a problem with cold medications that contain dextromethorphan, or DXM, then you need to get some help with that. It's not good for you in high doses, and the other ingredients in the medications can really make you ill. Here are some tips to help you with this.

Many people think that because you can buy this type of drug over the counter that it's somehow safer for you to ingest. This is totally not true, because the amount you have to take to get yourself to "trip" is quite a bit more than what you're supposed to be taking. This gives you a dissociative effect and that's something that can make you do things you wouldn't normally be doing. In a sense, it makes you feel like you're not one with your body, and that means you may be thinking you can do things you normally wouldn't do.

A SERIOUS PROBLEM

A lot of people take cold medications that don't just have DXM in them and they can really hurt you if you're not careful. If you take in way too much of various medications, you may find yourself at the hospital later because they'll have to help you if you overdose. You may also end up dying if you don't have any help around you to notice if you're getting sick from what you took. It's never a good idea to try these things by yourself because you may not know you need help when you really do.

As you can tell now, you can get help with getting off of cold medicines if you just take your time with it. Use the advice you got here and work hard at this so you aren't a slave to this sort of thing any longer.
