Once the addiction has been recognized, an addiction recovery coach should help the addict find an isolated area. A person is much more likely to continue abusing drugs if he continues to live in an environment that encourages this behavior. This is the reason why so many drug addiction recovery centers are located far from a city. When a drug user is denied access to his usual sources of drugs, then he is less likely to continue using them. Isolation is also needed from the addict's friends. When he cannot be around other people who are using drugs, the addict will slowly begin to wean himself from the idea.

The best addiction recovery methods will be those that support the addict throughout the process. A person will have to be strict and tough with an addict, but there needs to be some compassion involved. It's quite common for drug addicts to respond to any aggressive criticism by increasing his drug abuse. Check out more info about getting an Addiction Recovery Coach.
