The Myths of Luxury Rehab Facilities

We all have heard of luxury rehab facilities, and have probably seen features on television and in media about the ultra-rich and celebrities going to luxury rehabs; sometimes once, other times every few months. However, there are many myths and actual truths about luxury rehabs that we would like to clear up...

MYTH: You have to be rich to check into luxury rehab:
This is very untrue, and gives luxury rehabs the misconception that they are closed off to those who are not rich. The truth of the matter is, they are open to anyone, you just only ever hear about the celebrities checking in, not everyday 9-5 workers.

TRUTH:
In actuality, the aim of a luxury rehab is to offer luxury and amenities to an addicted individual who probably has never seen such luxuries in his/her life. The lifestyle of an addict is the exact opposite of the lifestyle in a luxury rehab, so there is an extra appeal to sobriety and the comforts and luxuries that come with sobriety

MYTH: Luxury Rehabs Accept Cash Only:
Again, very untrue. Once again, we usually hear about celebrities and politicians and other famous rich people entering a luxury rehab and assume that they are paying for it themselves.

TRUTH:

Even famous celebrities and the rich have insurance plans, just like you and I. Many luxury rehabs accept multiple forms of insurance and work with you to figure out the best payment options. Why would a celebrity drop cash on rehab, when addiction treatment is covered on most policies?

While there are a multitude of myths and truths about luxury rehab facilities, these few points are some of the most popularly misunderstood in the luxury rehab industry. Luxury rehab is not only about amenities and luxury, it is about treatment of addiction -- first and foremost. But comfort during the treatment process raises the odds that a recovering addict will find lifelong comfort in their sobriety.
